Product Review – Melt Cosmetics Eyeshadow Stacks and Lipstick

The Nitty Gritty Lipsticks: $19 / 35 ml / currently 14 shades, but a new nude line is coming out this month.  Sign up for their newsletter to find out when! Eyeshadow Stacks: $48 / 2 variations with 4 shades each. Melt Cosmetics Online – Purchase Link Love It or Leave It I’m feeling this brand big time.  Not only are the products clearly labeled vegan or not, but it’s a small business with a lot of style that is really rocking the unique colors and looks.  It reminds me of Sugar Pill but less bubble gum.  The eyeshadows are super pigmented, as are the lipsticks, the packaging is unique and gorgeous as well as sturdy for your makeup kit, and the colors are gorgeously paired in the stacks.  All in all, despite the price being a bit prohibitive, this is a worthwhile purchase and I can’t wait for their new

Product Review: Urban Decay’s Naked Complexion Line

The Nitty Gritty Beauty Balm: $34 / 35 ml / 2 shades Foundation: $39 / 30 ml / 18 shades Concealer: $28 / 5 ml / 8 shades Pressed Powder: $36 / 9 g / 14 shades Urban Decay Online – Purchase Link Love It or Leave It All in all, I think if this foundation has a good color for you or if you’re proficient at mixing your foundations, this is worth the purchase.  You don’t need much at all.  I literally use three drops, mind you I said drops, not pumps, to cover my face.  It really is luxury quality foundation in a mid-range brand.  The concealer is highly pigmented and, best of all, really crease-resistant (which is a big deal for me).  The pressed powders are finely milled and great for giving you even more of an airbrushed look if you buff it in after foundation and

Warm Greige Tutorial – Lime Crime Velvetine Lipstick

Not the best winged liner I’ve ever done, but I was in a bit of a hurry.  I’m loving the Lime Crime Velvetine lipsticks and this greige shade is rocking my world.  In this tutorial, I made the greige trend friendly for pale girls, but this would be a flattering look for many skin tones. Blue & Bronze Tutorial for Beginners – Kat von D Star-Studded Palette

I’m loving the Kat von D Star-Studded Palette.  These shadows are wonderfully pigmented and there’s so much product in the pans!  Seriously, if you’re just starting off learning about makeup, I’d keep an eye out for these huge palettes.  There is so much variety, it would keep you in different looks for quite a while. “Natural” Foundation Routine

Now, I know…there’s no such thing as “natural” makeup, but you can fake the hell out of a natural flawless look.  I usually give myself no more than 15 minutes to get this done and it’s my go-to when I don’t want to put on eyeshadow or lipstick.   There’s nothing better than a flawless foundation application to make it look like you get enough sleep and drink enough water on a regular basis…which I totally do, obviously.
